The Golden Goose (2022)

The Golden Goose is by Brancusi and is pictured in the Pompidou Centre. It flowed from a visit to the Centre in a break from the conference “The Citizens of the World” which was one of President Chirac’s last legacy building activities. I was very pleased to sit next the Jane Goodall – the primatologist – during the Conference which achieved very little. I was Australia’s “representative” but a guest of the French Government (at the time I was on the IPCC and had been announced as a co-chair of the 2020 Summit). I have always loved the Pompidou Centre and find the gallery attendants and art lovers as interesting as the art works.
