Poppies Trees Sky (2017)

This is a first oil study done after a number of “e” studies on the iPad. The iPad (or any other drawing tablet) allows you to test a large number of variants on a design idea relatively rapidly. Unlike David Hockney and some other prominent artists I haven’t yet used it to produce art in its own right.
