Florence, Crane (2017)

An implausibly long boom was a feature of this crane on the horizon of the view from our Florentine bedroom. In such a precious, heritage listed and dense city, repair work often has to be done with a crane located on an open space far from the site. It was an odd juxtaposition of the old and new which was captured in another quick study – which has yet to make its way into a larger painting.
