Sunset over Stresa – Lake Maggiore (2022)

The Alps soar from banks of Lake Maggiore in Piedmont. The scenery is spectacular and almost every summer afternoon a thunderstorm would sweep down the Lake
blanketing out the view. I immediately thought of Turner and was delighted to discover he had stayed, and painted, in a nearby villa nearly 200 years before.
